When Steve and Marina bought this property in June 2013 it was with the intention of renovating. The floor plan as per the real estate's advertisment was as follows:

With three children and a business that is run from home, the brief I was given was to provide room for all children to have a bedroom each. Include an office, Main bedroom to include an Ensuite, Provide an open plan kitchen with a walk in pantry and to ensure the emphasis was on indoor and outdoor living, the families time spent together was to focus around the swimming pool and entertaining.

After reviewing the current plan and establishing the areas in the home that were waisted space the changes were to make the laundry the Ensuite. Move the kitchen to the rear of the home allowing Marina a full view of the swimming pool from the kitchen. Relocating the main bedroom to the rear of the garage thus deleting the existing ensuite to allow for a bedroom instead. All the bedrooms the children reside in are together and the parents have somewhat of a retreat.

The main living area is now in the centre of the home and the bedrooms seperated with a hallway that includes ample linen cupboards. A laundry was added next to the ensuite and is accessed via the entertaining area.

Several Concepts were presented to the family and the end result is a modern open plan home. This is a quick adaptation of the original plan as a reference.

Currently the finishing touches are being applied to the home. This renovation was completed in stages. The final stage internally to be completed has been the kitchen. Once this is complete the landscaping and entertaining areas will be finished.
